2018 The Year Of Engineering – Government Campaign Launched

with No Comments

With a yearly shortfall of 20,000 engineering graduates and a poorly diversified workforce, the government announced in November 2017 that 2018 was to be the year of engineering; pledging to offer young people across the UK a million direct experiences of engineering in an attempt to close the gap in the future.

The campaign has meant new partnerships between the government and major engineering companies including Siemens, Usborne, BAE Systems and Crossrail which shows just how serious they are about improving the engineering work force of tomorrow in the UK.
