In-school STEM Careers Days
In-school STEM Careers days are for a full year group of students in years 7 and 8. They offer students an early opportunity to engage with local employers and develop work-related skills. They can be tailored to the requirements of your school, but would typically take one of the following formats:
• A carousel of 4-5 different interactive workshops delivered by business volunteers. Workshops include a practical activity and relate to a STEM topic or skill.
• A STEM Challenge where groups of students work on a practical problem-solving activity throughout the day. The groups are mentored by business volunteers and present their results at the end of the day.
