Lord Agnew sees careers excellence in action

The Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Education has visited The Misbourne to see first-hand what excellent careers education really looks like – already a highlight of National Careers Week 2019.

Lord Agnew visited The Misbourne in Great Missenden on Monday for a round table discussion including our Under 19 Skills Manager Jackie Campbell and Careers Hub Lead Marina Jackson – not to mention Claudia Harris, CEO of The Careers & Enterprise Company.

The Misbourne’s Careers Leader Helen Hill and Headteacher Jo Meloni explained just how they have now achieved 7 (nearly 8) of the Gatsby Benchmarks – and Misbourne students put him under the spotlight with intelligent, confident questions. (Future careers in politics await perhaps?)

A big thanks to our Enterprise Adviser Jo Perrin, Corporate Communications Director at Verizon, for being critical friend and sharing her network.
