Moon Base Challenge: school competition

(Gatsby 4 and 5)

Help students discover their inner scientist and sign your school up to the Moon Base Challenge.

The competition asks students in years 8 to 13 to design a lunar base that could be inhabited by a small crew, presented as an A1 research poster. It’s free to enter.

Successful teams will be invited to join Lunar Scientist Hannah Sargeant at the Open University in June to present their idea to a panel of industry professionals. Download the teacher overview here.

Register your interest by clicking here and additional information will be forwarded, including a competition pack providing you with all the information about the project. The closing date for registration is 29 February 2020.

The Moon Base Challenge is run by The South East Midlands Local Enterprise Partnership (SEMLEP) in partnership with the Open University.
